The Turkish Ambassador to Kuwait, H E Tuba Nur Sonmez, said Turkey and Kuwait enjoy a good relationship which has reached an ideal level.
She was speaking during the celebrations held at the Turkish embassy on the occasion of the National Day and the 99th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic.
Minister of Justice, Minister of Awqaf, Minister of State for Integrity Affairs Abdulaziz Al-Majedwas the chief guest for the occasion which was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, special invitees and journalists.
Sonmez said she was happy at the continuous development of cooperation between Turkey and Kuwait, pointing out that it is gaining strength in the tourism, cultural, commercial, economic, educational sectors and other fields.
She pointed out that most Kuwaiti citizens visit Turkey for tourism. purposes, indicating that bilateral trade figures between Turkey and Kuwait are on the rise, noting that Kuwaitis are among the largest foreign property buyers in Turkey.
“There are still wide cooperation possibilities waiting for us, therefore, as a new Turkish ambassador, I will try to deepen our relations with Kuwait in all fields,” Sonmez said, adding, “We are also trying to develop multi-dimensional cooperation in critical areas such as the defense industry, technology, aviation, healthcare and education.”
