Kuwait, along with Sweden, Germany, Greece, Sri Lanka, Laos, Cambodia, Brazil, Pakistan and Vietnam, are participating in the “Cobra Gold” military exercise, which is a multinational exercise, and Thailand is scheduled to host it from February 27 to March 10.
According to the Le Corriere de Viet Nam newspaper, this exercise, which has been held since 1982, will witness this year, for the first time, training in space disasters, with the participation of 7,394 military personnel from 30 countries, including 6,000 US forces, reports Al-Qabas daily.
During the exercise, participants will be trained in ways to combat space phenomena that affect military operations, such as solar and geomagnetic storms, which cause disturbances in communications and impede the arrival of satellite signals.
The United States of America, Japan, Thailand, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia and Singapore are participating in the main war exercises, while China, India and Australia are participating in the humanitarian aid exercises.
