Minister of Social Affairs and Community Development Dr. Mishaan Al-Otaibi said Kuwait participates with the rest of the world to celebrate the ‘International Day of the Elderly’ to honor them, enhance their position and strengthen their role in society with their experience and wisdom.
On this occasion, Minister Al-Otaibi said Kuwait has spared no efforts in serving and caring for the elderly psychologically, socially and from the health point of view, and has provided and still provides all aspects of care in their homes and among their families.
He added these efforts are represented in the services provided by the Department of Elderly Care, to 3,268 elderly people all over Kuwait. He stated more than 25,000 elderly people benefit from what he called the “Priority Card” services who enjoy health, stability, and happiness.
