Kuwait comes this year as the seventh Arab country, and the second Gulf country in the list of the shortest hours of fasting in the Arab world, just like Syria, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon with a number in terms of fasting hours of approximately 14 and a half hours, while the Comoros occupied the top of that list with 12 hours and 37 minutes.

Somalia came in second with about 13 hours and 27 minutes, followed by Yemen with about 14 hours and 7 minutes, then Sudan with about 14 hours and 8 minutes, followed by Mauritania with about 14 hours and 15 minutes, while Qatar ranked sixth in the Arab world and first in the Gulf with about 14 hours and 15 minutes as the shortest number of fasting hours in the GCC countries, reports Al-Rai daily.

The number of fasting hours in the Sultanate of Oman will be about 14 hours and 37 minutes, while in Saudi Arabia and the UAE it will be about 14 hours and 41 minutes, in Bahrain about 14 hours and 49 minutes, and in Iraq about 15 hours.

The Maghreb countries will generally witness the longest hours of fasting in the blessed month, and the longest will be in Algeria and Tunisia, which will reach about 15 hours and 45 minutes.

In Egypt, it will take about 15 hours, in Morocco about 15 hours and 25 minutes, in Libya about 15 hours and 30 minutes, in Algeria about 15 hours and 45 minutes, and in Tunisia about 15 hours and 45 minutes.

Internationally, Muslims living in Greenland will fast the longest number of hours of about 20 hours, followed by Muslims from Poland at about 18 hours and 30 minutes, then Muslims from Russia at about 18 hours and 29 minutes.

As for the Muslims of South Africa, Argentina, New Zealand, Paraguay and Uruguay, they will fast the least number of hours worldwide, by about 11 to 12 hours, followed by the Muslims of Brazil, by about 12 to 13 hours.
