More than a month after the Filipino domestic workers recruitment to Kuwait restarted and after months of discussion, the Philippine ambassador to the country, H.E. Mohamed Noureddine Lumendot, explained that Kuwait recruitment agencies are still in the process of preparing the accreditation for Filipino domestic workers, and consequently, Filipino domestic workers have not yet arrived to the country, Al Rai daily reported
Informed sources to the daily said that checks have been made on the readiness of domestic workers’ offices to recruit and receive new workers, which had been done more than two weeks ago, but so far the offices have been unable to bring in domestic workers from the Philippines for several reasons, the main one being the Coronavirus pandemic, which has also impacted some areas of the Philippines.
