The Sharia Vision Authority will meet at the headquarters of the Supreme Judicial Council to observe the crescent of the month of Ramadan, while Kuwait is beginning to experience the atmosphere of the holy month. Markets are crowded with citizens and residents securing their needs before the holy month begins, to avoid going out on its busy nights and to dedicate themselves to worship.

In the past two days, the “Ramadan situation” has dominated the markets due to the high popular demand for purchases, especially for necessities such as dates, meat, and vegetables. Citizens have also shown joy at the advent of the month through the decorations that have spread in the streets and walking paths around the regions.

The Ministry of Interior has prepared a security and traffic plan to facilitate the movement of cars and ensure the safety of everyone. The Director of the General Traffic Department, Major General Yousef Al-Khadda, announced an integrated plan to keep pace with traffic congestion during the blessed month of Ramadan.

The plan includes the allocation of 400 security personnel between officers and soldiers and 200 patrols to deal with the matter. Al-Khadda said in a statement that the General Traffic Department has coordinated with the traffic directors in the governorates and has prepared and implemented the plan. Traffic patrols and security personnel have been deployed in the vicinity of central markets, associations, and places that witness a high density of citizens and residents.
