The Kuwait Municipality said it has identified seven sites where the cooperative societies will be allowed to establish markets during the spring camping season if they wish to, including a recreational center or an amusement park for shareholders and visitors.
The Municipality told a local Arabic daily, the committee will study the sites after a meeting with the concerned authorities and some representatives of cooperative societies before distributing the sites.
The daily quoting sources said, once the sites are allocated the concerned coops must adhere to the area specified by the municipality.
The sources explained the meeting dealt with a number of topics on the agenda, such as visiting the camp sites in preparation for their approval by the committee, emphasizing the cleanliness of camping sites and the general provisions and requirements for obtaining camp licenses.
It is noteworthy to mention that the Committee for Modernization and Study of Spring Camp Sites is coordinating with the concerned authorities in order to prepare, equip and provide amenities for land-goers, given the approaching spring camping season, which will start from November 15 and end on March 15, 2023.
