The Director-General of the Kuwait Municipality, Engr Ahmed Al-Manfouhi announced the opening of the Enjaz market in Al-Rai next January.

The market is intended to attract entrepreneurs who own small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Al-Manfouhi said, in a statement to Al-Qabas, after his tour of the market yesterday morning that he listened to what the investing company had to say about the services it will provide to the stores, the exhibition, and the ongoing events that will be held.

He was accompanied on the tour by the Deputy Director-General for Projects Sector Affairs Eng. Nadia Al-Sharideh, and the Deputy Director-General of the Capital and Jahra Municipalities Sector, Eng. Faisal Al-Jumah.

He disclosed the Municipality has set a symbolic rent of 55 dinars per store in the market which has 114 stores and will be given those registered on Chapter Five of the Social Security.

Al-Manfouhi added this market is the second the Municipality has completed after Braih Salem, and the market contains exhibition halls to display products and services of small projects, in addition to its services such as parking lots, restaurants, cafeterias, toilets, gardens, children’s games and other services befitting the project.

Al-Manfouhi indicated the investor will provide many services within the market, including holding free advisory sessions for every inch of the project, accounting and legal services, product manufacturing services, advertising, warehousing, cleaning and guarding at symbolic prices, in addition to ongoing activities in the market, including tennis courses, various training courses and events, the annual Injaz conference, the competition for the best incubated project, and special events on religious and national holidays.

In a related context, the CEO of the Future International Company, Abrar Faisal Al-Masoud, said the company has opened the door for online booking of shops in the market (for owners of small projects).

He added this market is a great opportunity for owners of restaurants and cafes since the rent is very symbolic.

Al-Masoud added, this site will be the largest gathering of owners of small and medium-sized enterprises in various fields, in all disciplines and with their full services, including factory owners, where the manufacturing and sales service will be provided in the same place, noting that the company is a pioneer in developing the youth sector and entrepreneurship, and therefore the market will be a place to gather and highlight the achievements of youth, as well as contribute to revitalizing the economy.

Al-Masoud indicated that the first season will be with the opening next January “Sports and Health”, and in February the Culture and Arts festival will be held, while in March it will be the time for “Youth, Creativity and Innovation” season, and in April the Ramadan season, in addition to holding exhibitions, awareness seminars and various activities, including games for children, while May will be dedicated to women, beauty and fashion.
