Kuwait bid farewell to the illustrious businessman Ghassan Ahmed Saud Al-Khaled, who has left us after a journey marked by remarkable achievements, philanthropy, and significant contributions to Kuwait’s progress.

Al-Khaled’s departure is an immense loss for the Kuwaiti business community, as he was renowned as one of the leading economists in Kuwait and the Arab world. His economic endeavors extended beyond the borders of his country to the neighboring regions, leaving an indelible mark on the face of business administration, his remarkable journey of giving spanned nearly 34 years.

Throughout his eventful life, Ghassan Al-Khaled encountered numerous economic challenges and major crises affecting both the local and global economies. From the “Manakh Market” crisis to the 2008 financial downturn and the aftermath of the Corona pandemic, his companies displayed exceptional efficiency and competence in managing these adversities.

Noteworthy is the unwavering dedication and efforts Al-Khaled invested in establishing and nurturing a group of companies that became significant economic entities, supporting the national economy and generating employment opportunities for numerous citizens.

The late Ghassan Al-Khaled — may God have mercy on him — possessed extensive expertise in corporate banking services, trade finance, and credit and retail sectors. He was actively involved in various important committees within the bank, including the risks, nominations, and remuneration committees, emanating from the Board of Directors. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University, USA.
