The official and commercial visits have contributed to promoting bilateral trade and investment cooperation, he said, as he stressed the Chamber’s readiness to provide services available to Iraqi business owners, facilitate their business in the country and establish trade and investment partnerships with their Kuwaiti counterparts to enhance trade exchange between the two countries.
For his part, Al-Hashemi said in a similar statement that the economic relations between the two countries are progressing, as he called on the Kuwaiti business sector to take advantage of available investment opportunities in Basra which enjoys political and security stability. Iraq put new mechanisms to attract foreign investment in addition to the presence of Kuwaiti consulate in Basra, which facilitates the work of Kuwaiti investors, mainly including entry visas, he added.
