Kuwait ranked 18th globally in the cost of renting apartments in a list of 109 countries and cities. The average monthly rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center was about USD 909, while the average rent for a one-bedroom apartment outside the city center is about USD 730, Al Qabas reported.

And according to what was reported by the American economic website 24/7 Wall Street, Qatar came in fourth place with an average rent of USD 1,545 for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center, while the UAE ranked tenth in the world with an average of USD 1,187 for a one-bedroom apartment. Bahrain ranked 19th with an average rent of USD 897, and Lebanon ranked 20th with an average of USD 895.

The most expensive country in the world is Hong Kong, where the average cost of renting a one-bedroom apartment is USD 2,178. The report found that the affordability of rent indicates the relative relationship between income and the cost of living. Lebanon, for example, which suffers from a catastrophic economic crisis at the present time, is among the highest costs of renting an apartment in the world, which is astronomical for citizens relative to income.
