A recent statistic, of which Al-Qabas obtained a copy, revealed that the total number of people who have booked to travel through the airport reached 110,000 citizens and residents aboard 900 flights, during the period from April 20 to 25.

The statistics showed that the most traveled destinations during the Eid holidays are Dubai, Istanbul, Sabiha, Jeddah and Doha.

A source told the daily that the agencies operating at the airport held several meetings with ground service providers during the past days to review field plans to deal with the holiday season.

The source stated that the passenger traffic at Kuwait International Airport is active and crowded during the festive period, especially in light of the registration of millions of passengers annually, indicating that international and local airlines provide flights to various destinations around the world, including the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and America. North, Africa.

The source indicated that the airport is ready to deal with the increase in the number of passengers, which will reach large numbers compared to previous years, indicating that the operation plan depends on making sure to raise the performance of the operational sectors, improve services, and ensure the smooth flow of passenger traffic from parking lots to aircraft gates.

The source said that the agencies operating at the airport are keen to ensure the operating system and devices, to avoid congestion, especially at peak times, reaffirming the development of field plans, and the allocation of work teams around the clock to keep up with the momentum of travel.

Meanwhile, the General Administration of Civil Aviation called on all companies operating at the airport to raise levels of readiness and increase the number of employees to improve services provided to travelers and raise operating efficiency during the travel seasons.

He pointed out that work teams were formed from the operational departments to create support and support for other operating devices at the airport, and to overcome all obstacles that may face travelers, as care was taken to develop and improve services provided to passengers and raise work efficiency in an attempt to accommodate the increase in the number of passengers and users of Kuwait International Airport.
