Kuwait on Saturday said that the increasing contributions on the part of youngsters have led to national gains in recent years, highlighting more plans across state bodies to connect with the country’s youth.

Greater youth engagement, in the form of “ambitious” programs and initiatives, allows youngsters the chance to hone their skills and bring common aspirations to fruition, the Youth Public Authority‘s acting chief Shafiq Al-Sayyed Omar told KUNA. With the coronavirus pandemic turning daily life upside down across the globe and confining people indoors amid extensive lockdowns, he said the Kuwaiti youth body relied on online platforms to reach out to spirited youngsters and give them an opportunity to make their voices heard.

The youth training programs run the gamut from science and arts to sports, added the official, emphasizing the aim of empowering youngsters from all walks of life.
