The Kuwait Gulf Oil Company held a coordination meeting with the Saudi Arabian Chevron Company, within the framework of mutual concern between the two sides to discuss ways of joint cooperation, review the progress of work and learn about the latest developments related to existing projects in the joint operations area in Wafra.

The meeting, which was held at the Ahmed Al-Jaber Oil and Gas Exhibition, was chaired by Executive Vice President of Joint Operations Muhammad Al-Haimer, in the presence of the Executive Management represented by Executive Vice President for Technical and Commercial Affairs Muhammad Al-Zoubi, and Executive Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affairs Nayef Al-Anzi, while Chevron Company represented a delegation Headed by Clay Neve, President of Chevron Global Exploration and Production, accompanied by the CEO of Saudi Arabia Chevron, Hakim Al-Ruwaili, his deputy for administrative and financial affairs, Muhammad Al-Dosari, and his deputy for operations, Don Stilling, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Haimar confirmed that there is complete agreement on long-term plans so that the partners can prepare for what those plans and projects need, which was also confirmed by Clay Neve.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Al-Zoubi touched on the importance of early preparation of some important and future projects, which will be reflected in their faster completion, achieving the best financial returns for both partners.

Al-Enezi also reviewed some successful experiences and practices that can be applied in joint operations, while Don Stilling stressed the need to hold meetings and workshops to benefit from the experiences of both parties.

The two sides affirmed their constant and continuous keenness to provide the necessary capabilities and overcome all obstacles to reach the desired goals of cooperation in the common region, in the economic interest of the Kuwaiti and Saudi sides, taking into account the utmost levels of security and safety.

The Kuwait Gulf Oil Company confirmed in a press statement that during the meeting, the development plan for production was reviewed, and the most important future programs related to the short and long-term operating plans were discussed, as well as follow-up on the progress and development of work programs, and the development of alternative programs to overcome all challenges and ensure the achievement of the highest benefits and access. to the agreed production plan in the common area.

The company explained in its statement that the future vision for the joint Wafra operations was presented, and all possible means were taken to achieve the agreed strategic goals, foremost among which is reducing gas flaring to the permissible ratios, and using the latest modern technology in well drilling operations with the aim of improving production and the development of facilities in the region, stressing the two sides’ efforts to overcome all obstacles and work to develop exploration and production development for both non-associated gas and heavy and light oil.
