The government has submitted its resignation to the political leadership, in the wake of the recent crisis with the National Assembly on the background of populist laws, as well as the two interpellations filed against the Finance Minister Abdul Wahhab Al-Rashid and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Barak Al-Shitan, Arabic daily Al Qabas reported.

The government’s resignation comes to adhere to its stance towards the recent political crisis, as it refused to make any pledges to the representatives regarding popular laws.
