The State of Kuwait announced the official mourning period of 40 days, with the suspension of official departments for three days starting today, following the passing of the late His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad AlJaber Al-Sabah.
This Council of Ministers made the statement following an extraordinary meeting held today, Tuesday, at Seif Palace, headed by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, followed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh.
