His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait has expressed its solidarity and sympathy with the friendly Republic of India following the devastating floods and landslides that affected the state of Maharashtra, resulting in scores of casualties and injured, in addition to dozens of missing persons.

In a statement issued by the Embassy of Kuwait in New Delhi,the Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the Government and people of the friendly Republic of India and to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to those injured.

His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of condolence to the Hon’ble President of India Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, in which His Highness shared his deep sorrow with the Government of India and its people at this painful moment and expressed his solidarity with the victim’s families, hoping that the officials in the friendly country will be able to overcome the impacts of this natural disaster.

Also, the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a similar condolence letter to the Hon’ble President of India, in which His Highness expressed his grief on these devastating floods.

The Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah sent a similar cable to the Hon’ble President of India and the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, on the tragic incident of the floods in Maharashtra and expressed his deep sorrow and extended his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the victim’s families.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs of the State of Kuwait His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, also sent a similar condolence letter to his counterpart Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar expressing the solidarity of leadership, government and people of Kuwait with the Government of India and its people following the calamitous floods and landslides in the state of Maharashtra. His Excellency also extended his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the lives lost in the incident and hoped a speedy recovery to those injured. 5. The Embassy of the State of Kuwait in New Delhi shares its grief and extends its sincere condolences to the lives lost in the floods and stands in solidarity with the Government of the Republic of India and its friendly people. It also hopes a quick recovery to those injured in the incident.
