Sheikh Khaled Ahmed Al-Sabah, Managing Director of Global Marketing at the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), revealed that Kuwait exported the first shipment of 2 million barrels crude oil to the Duqm Refinery in Oman.
Al-Sabah told Al-Rai daily, that this shipment is the first shipment to the refinery in which Kuwait participates, in preparation for experimental operations, and then shipments to follow.
He stressed that the Kuwaiti foreign oil projects are part of the oil sector’s strategy and one of the safe outlets for Kuwaiti oil marketing.
He stated that the global marketing sector is conducting permanent and continuous review processes to preserve traditional markets and open new ones in light of fierce competition in global markets and continuous geopolitical changes.
