The Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) diligently worked on exporting its inaugural shipment of advanced diesel that aligns with the most current specifications and standards of European markets.

Official spokesperson for the company, Abdullah Al-Ajmi, told Al-Qabas daily, that this shipment stands as the largest export to Europe in Kuwait’s history. This achievement signifies a vital stride towards fulfilling global market demands with superior petroleum products, solidifying KIPIC’s footing to explore new opportunities and bolster its prominence in the global energy market as a major and dependable supplier.

On September 22, 2023, Al-Ajmi disclosed that KIPIC successfully exported over 100,000 tons, equivalent to 780,000 barrels, of low-sulfur diesel, meticulously crafted to comply with the latest international environmental norms, to European markets.

The shipment set sail aboard the vessel “Stay Sunset,” a result of seamless coordination between the Al-Zour Refinery Directorate and the Global Marketing Sector at the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.

He elaborated on the obstacles and operational challenges overcome by the company to achieve this milestone, commending the dedication of the work teams at Al-Zour Refinery in efficiently and safely managing the project units.

Al-Ajmi added, “The export of this shipment of top-notch diesel conforming to the latest international specifications and standards marks a remarkable milestone for Al-Zour Refinery.

It’s an unprecedented feat achieved despite challenging operational hurdles and within record time. This accomplishment underscores the immense efforts put forth by all employees at Al-Zour Refinery in realizing the strategic plans of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and maintaining its eminent leadership position in the global energy markets.”
