The State of Kuwait is experiencing a dust storm as a result of northwestern winds at a speed of 70 kilometers per hour (km/h), which lowered visibility to less than 1,000 meters, said the Meteorological Center Thursday.

In a statement, the center indicated that the weather is expected to improve gradually later in the day. Earlier on, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said that operations at Kuwait International Airport were normal despite the current weather condition.
