Kuwait Cricket Board has appointed Herschelle Gibbs as the mentor of the Kuwait National Men’s team led by skipper Mnm Aslam for the upcoming Gulf Cricket T20I Championship and the ICC – International Cricket Council T20 World Cup Qualifiers
Both the tournaments will be hosted by Qatar Cricket Association with all the participating teams arriving in Doha on the 13th of September
Gibbs has had a successful track record with Kuwait Cricket having mutiple engagements in the past decade with the most memorable one being back in 2018 where he spent 5 months (in Kuwait) as the head coach of the men’s team and helped Kuwait qualify for the final leg of ICC T20 World Cup Asia qualifiers after having beaten Saudi Arabia in a nail biting finale at the famous entertainment city cricket ground
