The Kuwaiti Health Ministry recorded, Wednesday, 1,917 new Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases, taking confirmed cases tally up to 607,952. The number of recoveries also went up by 4,661 to 575,803, the ministry’s Spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a statement to KUNA, adding that recovery-to-infection ratio reached 94.7 percent. Spokesperson Al-Sanad added that two deaths due to the virus were confirmed over the last 24 hours, taking the fatalities total to 2,524. In addition, 92 patients are currently receiving care in intensive care units (ICUs) whereas 393 patients are receiving care in covid-19 wards, and active cases are 29,625. Al-Sanad also noted that 23,703 swab tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s overall tests so far to 7,381,432, with an infection-to-swab ratio of 1,8 percent.
