Kuwait has collected 8.2 million dinars by the end of 2021/2022 in revenues from air passengers, an increase of 50% or to 2.7 million dinars, compared to 5.48 million dinars in the previous fiscal year.

A local Arabic daily quoting airport sources said, the revenues from airport departures was about 3.62 million dinars during the last fiscal year, up from 2.08 million dinars during the year 2020/2021, while last year’s revenues accounted for only 33% estimated to be collected for the full year at 11 million dinars, a decline of 7.37 million dinars.

Revenues from Kuwaiti airspace transit fees on aircraft recorded 4.59 million dinars during the past fiscal year, compared to 3.4 million for 2020/2021, while the percentage of revenues collected for this aspect amounted to about 63.5% of the total revenues estimated at 7.23 million dinars.
