Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Saturday announced changing airport and passengers’ services as of June 1.

The new fees will be three KD (USD 9.8) for departing passengers and two KD (USD 6.5) for arrivals and will be paid by airlines, DGCA’s Director-General Yousef Al-Fowzan said in a statement to KUNA.

He noted that the new fees are in line with that of other international airports. The decision comes to make a balance between the State’s spending on operating the airport and revenues from its services, he pointed out. He stated that the new charges are the “lowest” compared with the ones imposed in the regional and international airports.
