Kuwait cabinet suspended the mandatory requirement of Coronavirus free (PCR)  medical clearance certificate requirement for passengers arriving from 10 countries on Thursday evening.

Requests from the countries affected and the realisation that these precautionary measures were difficult to implement on such a scale were the reasons for the suspension of the requirement

The earlier decision which created a huge panic among the nationalities affected as the procedures to get such a certificate was not clear and would also not really prevent the spread of the disease.

The Cabinet has asked the competent authorities to provide more practical alternatives that ensure travelers coming to the country are free from Corona virus.

The earlier decision was taken as a precautionary measure against possible infections and spread of coronavirus from nationals arriving from countries including India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Egypt, Syria Lebanon, Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan.
