Kuwait bid farewell to the prominent businessman and economist Fouad Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al-Bahr, who passed away at the age of 82. His remains were laid to rest in the Sulaibikhat cemetery. The funeral ceremony was attended by a large number of his relatives and loved ones.

The deceased of Kuwait, Fouad Abdul Rahman Muhammad Al-Bahr, passed away after a career full of economic and practical achievements, giving and striving to serve the nation, and left a clear imprint in the economic fields. He also worked to serve the Kuwaiti society with a lot of volunteer work and activities.

Since its inception, the deceased of Kuwait was keen on self-employment and preferred it to government work. He was distinguished by an insightful economic vision and the ability to develop the companies and investment sectors in which he worked.

He contributed to the development of the Kuwait Insurance Company, in which he served as a board member, then assumed the position of its CEO, and managed it for nearly 25 years, until he resigned from it, after which he occupied the position of a member of the Board of Directors in the Abdul Rahman Al-Bahr & Sons Group of Companies.

He participated in the development of its business with his commercial and investment activities in Kuwait and abroad. The deceased was known as one of the elite of outstanding students, as he was one of the first high achievers in Shuwaikh Secondary School. He was honored in 1963 by Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem, among a constellation of brilliant Kuwaitis.
