The General Administration of Civil Aviation has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Montenegro, allowing flights between the two countries to operate without any restrictions.

In a press statement after the signing of the agreement in the capital Podgorica, Director General of the Department, Yousef Al-Fawzan, confirmed that “the signing of the memorandum comes as a continuation of the civil aviation policy towards expanding the network of international airports with Kuwait International Airport, and opening new routes to meet the requirements of the Kuwaiti air transport market,” reports a local Arabic daily.

Al-Fawzan added that the memorandum includes all technical and legal matters for the final signing of the agreement to regulate air transport between the two countries regarding the operation of air carriers in accordance with the constitutional procedures of each country.

He explained that it was agreed that the final signing procedures would be as soon as possible, so that the air carriers could start operating, pointing out that the principle of multiple appointment of air carriers between the two countries had been introduced.
