Kuwait Airways launched the first of its scheduled commercial flight to Mykonos in Greece on 6 June, 2022.
Ambassador of Greece, H E Konstantinos Piperigos was onboard the first flight and expressed joy at the inauguration of the flight in time for the summer season.
Kuwait Airways confirmed that the choice of ‘Mykonos’ came after careful and prudent studies because of the tourist and historical attractions that this destination contains, rich in diverse cultures, in addition to its distinction as a suitable destination for spending the summer vacation,
Ambassador Piperigos expected that the current summer season will witness a boom and a great turnout by travelers, which will remarkably move the wheel of tourism and travel around the world and develop it.
Ambassador pointed out that Mykonos also provided a great flight connection to several European cities thereby giving tourists a choice of destinations in Europe after spending time in Mykonos.
