The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and its subsidiaries are currently working on crystallizing the final image of the contractor’s Kuwaitization file, and addressing all problems and obstacles facing Kuwaiti workers in this aspect in accordance with legal and administrative frameworks, in an effort to resolve labor files in contractors’ contracts in the oil sector.

The oil sources told Al-Rai daily that “signs have emerged to correct many directions and decide on them soon in accordance with official procedures, to complete what can be achieved in terms of demands and recommendations in the interest of national employment.”

The sources revealed instructions have been issued by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Oil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Petroleum Corporation, Dr. Badr Al-Mulla to accelerate the pace of reviewing and developing the regulations for contractor employment, in addition to directives, follow-up and direct supervision of the CEO of the Corporation, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Saud, to ensure stable, social and functional life for national workers, and to address the obstacles that prevent this from being achieved.

The sources stressed KPC and its subsidiaries’ interest in relying on the elements subject to the executive regulations for national employment in contractors’ contracts in the oil sector, and ensuring a better future for them in contractors’ contracts in order to achieve job security and open more fields for them.
