The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation has informed the senior managers in the oil sector who meet the conditions and are experienced to start implementing the ‘360’ system in a step to evaluate managers to the position of executive vice president.

A local Arabic daily quoting oil sector sources ‘360’ is a promotion system to promote those holding supervisory and senior positions to executive posts of vice-president, direct within the company or from outside in addition to 2 managers and 2 team leaders.

The sources said that the system gives the executive vice president to right to decide on the director’s choices and choose other evaluators according to his point of view. However, the sources have warned that making any changes in the directors’ choices without an acceptable justification would create embarrassment to the senior oil leaders.

The CEO of KPC, Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Sabah has issued a decision to move the Executive Vice-President for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Petrochemical Industries Company, Shafi Al-Ajmi, as Deputy CEO for Manufacturing at Kuwait Petroleum International.

In another circular, Al-Sabah has issued an administrative decision appointing Ala’a Tariq Al-Saqabi to fill the position of head of the Fatwa, Dispute and Legal Consultations team. He will be responsible to the Director of the Legal Affairs Department.
