Hisham Al-Rifai, spokesman for the oil sector, announced the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, at its Crisis Management Center at the Oil Sector Complex, conducted a practical training to confront a fake accident represented by a breach of the central control systems in the presence of the oil leaders, who were linked directly to the operations units via video communication devices to follow the course of events and give instructions to contain the damage caused by the accident.
Al-Rifai stressed this step comes as an affirmation of its keenness to activate the crisis management plan and emergency plans to ensure their effectiveness in dealing with such circumstances, which may jeopardize the corporation’s obligations on the one hand and on the other hand, to measure the depth of the decision-making system within the oil sector, reports a local Arabic daily.
