The file of filling vacancies and promotions of deputy chief executives, directors and team heads in the oil sector has been stagnating for a while, as the procedures, which were supposed to start this week, were disrupted again after the government submitted its resignation, so that the administrative vacuum continues at the KPC and its subsidiaries.
The discussions of promotion amendments during the last period, which were not successful, also contributed to delaying the rotation of the wheel of promotions in the sector.
Informed sources told Al-Qabas that the suspension of promotions and appointments accompanying the government’s resignation to fill vacancies and leadership positions will directly affect the strategy and objectives of KPC and its subsidiaries and the challenges facing this vital sector.
