The Kuwait Oil Company will offer 7 contracts to bring in skilled technicians from several countries includin Canada, the United States of America, Egypt, Southeast Asia and the Gulf states experts in drilling operations, maintenance, exploration and production, and medical and health, safety, environment and engineering, in addition to other jobs expected to be requested by the company later.

Senior oil sources revealed told Al-Anba that the KOC contract to bring workers from the above mentioned countries comes within the scope of preparing the resumes of engineers and technicians, to fill the vacant positions that Kuwait will need in the future.

The sources stated that KOC will put in place strict procedures for bringing in workers in terms of the standard of competence and experience, which in some cases will be between 15 and 20 years, noting that hiring will not include administrative staff.

The sources indicated that the company that wins the contracts must provide the Kuwait Oil Company with the resume of the workers in advance before the process to bring in workers begin and that the interviews will be conducted before the shortlisted candidates sets foot on the Kuwaiti soil.
