MEED magazine reported that the Kuwait Oil Company has extended until 27 of this month the deadline for contracting companies to submit their bids to modernize the gas and condensate network in the oil sector in eastern Kuwait.

The magazine said that the cost of the project is estimated at $100 million, and it is the second contract to modernize the gas and condensate network in that region, reports a local Arabic daily.

MEED indicated the tender for the project was launched in May this year and then set the original deadline to end on August 30, but the date was extended several times, and the previous deadlines were October 30 and November 13. The awarding and awarding of other projects in the oil and gas sector in Kuwait is facing similar delays.

Earlier this month, MEED magazine reported that the KOC had decided to postpone the tender for a project to expand two sewage disposal plants in the oil and gas sector in Kuwait.

In the past, hopes were pinned on a tender and an invitation to bid on the project, which is estimated to be worth 200 million dinars ($650 million) before the end of this year, but that decision was postponed to early 2023.
