The Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) has given nod to the Kuwait Oil Company and the Kuwait National Petroleum Company for contracts awards and other extensions, including change orders for contracts with a total value of 86.6 million dinars.

A local Arabic daily, said following the approval from the tenders agency, KNPC decided to extend 3 contracts and issue a change order worth 18.3 million dinars for the extension until the completion of the alternative tender procedures.

The Kuwait Oil Company also decided to award one of the contracts and extend another contract with a total value of 68.3 million dinars.

The daily quoting sources said that the KNPC has asked CAPT to issue the second change order in the amount of 4 million dinars for the mechanical maintenance contract for the Mina Abdullah refinery, in addition to extending the contract for a period of one year ending in March 2024, with a value of 9.2 million dinars, thus becoming The total value of the change order and the extension of the contract amounted to 13.2 million dinars, and the Agency agreed to the extension.

The sources added that the company requested the fifth extension of the contract for quality control services in the company’s refineries, for a period of 12 months, with a total amount of 3.6 million dinars, until the completion of the alternative tender procedures, and the Tender Authority approved the company’s request.

The KNPC has also requested the extension of a second contract for quality control in the company’s refineries, at a value of 1.5 million dinars, until the completion of the alternative tender procedures, and the company’s request was approved.

Subsequently, the sources said the Kuwait Oil Company has requested the second extension of the contract for providing maintenance services to production facilities in the regions of northern Kuwait, concluded at a value of 18.8 million dinars, in order to ensure the continuation of providing services until the completion of the alternative contract tender procedures. And «Kuwait Oil» decided to award a tender to provide maintenance services for firefighting systems for the south, east, export, marine and Ahmadi regions of the company, at a value of 7 million dinars.

While the Central Agency for Tenders for the Kuwait Oil Company decided to make a valuation budget with the company that won the lowest prices in the financial bids, in the tender for the installation of crude oil flow pipelines and related works in the southern and eastern regions of Kuwait, for the Mechanical Engineering and Contracting Company, which won the contract with the lowest prices and conformed to the terms and specifications in the amount of 42.5 million dinars.
