The Kuwait National Petroleum Company announced on Sunday the export of the first shipment of developed diesel fuel, which was produced with special specifications (winter grade) that meet the requirements of European markets, especially in the winter season, a local daily reported.

The company said in a statement that the quantity of the shipment amounted to 66,000 tons and was exported in cooperation with the global marketing sector of the KNPC, which is the window for the Kuwaiti oil sector to deal with foreign markets. In addition, the report said that the production of diesel fuel with special specifications commensurate with the atmosphere of those markets came after a series of studies and tests conducted by the company’s Mina Abdullah refinery, which succeeded in developing and improving these specifications, giving the product an additional qualitative advantage and a higher competitive ability that enhanced the company’s ability to reach new global markets.

Moreover, the refinery had modified the operational factors of a number of its manufacturing units to make the diesel fuel conform to international standards, pointing out that the results were encouraging and contributed to enabling the refinery to produce this type of diesel that is compatible with advanced environmental standards and characterized by its high quality.
