About two months and 10 days after the opening of Kuwait International Airport (KIA) with a limited capacity, the airport is waiting for full resumption of direct flights to all countries of the world.

However, the sources told Al-Anba the airport will continue operating with the permitted quota of 10,000 per day until further notice.

The sources stated the airport is abuzz with travelers moving in and out of the country with the opening of many destinations, foremost of which is the destination of Egypt, which is still witnessing a great demand for travel.

The sources revealed that the number of airlines operating at the airport has now reached 35 local and foreign, saying no new destinations or airlines will be allowed to operate until after the operating quota is increased.
