The Kuwaiti Heart Association said the recently circulated video in the social media pages showing a device claiming it dispenses with traditional, scientifically proven heart treatments is a pure fabrication, and is not based on scientific research or significant foundations.

The association said in a press statement that its educational and health awareness role requires it to respond to the false information of this device as it is an accurate scientific specialized body, to refute scientifically and research such rumors that some people may be led to, noting that the video circulated regarding the aforementioned heart device claimed the ability of the device to solve many problems of heart diseases, especially “opening the arteries, and strengthening the valves completely,” and also claimed “its ability to restore new arteries as if they were created again,” and called these are all misleading claims, reports Annahar daily.

The association added that the fact of the matter is that this device emits sound waves, and it is currently considered a treatment in the experimental stage, and its effectiveness has not been proven in accurate scientific studies except in specific cases, and a few for patients who are not suitable for open heart surgery, the catheter and stent method, noting that even these cases that have been studied remain in the experimental stage at the present time and their results are limited.

The association pointed out that what the speaker claimed in the video that “the arteries will become as new, and the heart’s electricity will be arranged,” is a pure slander against the experimental capabilities of this device.

The association advised heart patients to be wary of the claims made by many through videos spread on social media regarding the treatment of heart diseases, stressing that patients should be careful to consult their treating cardiologist before believing any of these videos.
