Empower Millennial Filipina women to create positive impact both local and overseas”

Kuwait Filipino Artists Management, a non-profit organization and event management team launched the very first virtual or online search for Miss Philippines Kuwait 2020, which aims to promote and empower millennial Filipina women and the positive impact they can create in the Filipino overseas and local communities.

Organizers and producers of the event Argie Ergina and Jayson Vasquez in a brief interview with The Times stated that the competition has been organized to provide an opportunity for Millennial Filipina women to showcase Philippine heritage and a chance to create a platform where they can amplify their purpose as contestants and winners.

“The event has been designed to afford our Filipina women here and Philippines influence the public to address positively essential issues relevant to the Philippines current situations and somehow prioritize employments which suffered greatly due to COVID-19” added Ergina. The event is virtual and online from applications, screening, talent showcases, interviews, and essential question and answers segment in accordance with health precautionary measures of no contact in person.

Qualifications to the competition include; must be a Filipina based in Kuwait and in the Philippines, 18-28 years old, at least 5 feet, physically fit, and good moral standing. To register to the event, comment on the video link posted on social media posts with the contestants’ name, age, height, place and full body picture.

The deadline for submission of registration will be on the 14th of October 2020. Organizers stressed that pictures submitted will be subjected for approval as strictly no inappropriate clothes and poses will be allowed. The competition is absolutely free and does not require joining or registration fees. A set of judges have been selected from screening to the final stage of the competition. Sponsors include; Tiya Marias, Manok na Pula, Mae Café, Siomai King, Front Row, Ms. Paulita Lundang of Kapico Travel, CEE Network Culinary Arts, Morning Talk Asia and more to follow. Selected contestants by the panel will be notified via social media and will join the final online audition.

Pageants are not just parade of beauties and physical features, it has gone beyond that, pageants have transformed into platforms where social and relevant issues can be addressed publicly and women become ambassadors of peace.
