The Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry participated in the periodic consultative meeting, which was held between the ministers of commerce and industry with the heads of federations and chambers in the Gulf countries in Muscat – Sultanate of Oman.

This meeting was preceded by a coordination meeting between the heads of the federation and the Gulf chambers. The Chamber’s delegation was headed by Fahd Yaqoub Al-Jouan, the second vice-president of the Chamber, and the membership of Imad Abdullah Al-Zaid, the Assistant Director-General of the Chamber, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The consultative meeting was chaired by the Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Qais bin Muhammad Al-Yousef, in the presence of the GCC trade ministers and the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi, in addition to the heads of the federations and chambers of commerce and industry in the GCC countries. The delegation of the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council was headed by Hassan Bin admired Al-Huwaizi, President of the Federation.

During the meeting, many important issues related to the Gulf private sector were highlighted, the most important of which was setting up a mechanism to provide business incubators for digital projects and artificial intelligence projects emerging in the GCC countries, as well as emphasizing the importance of the commercial concession law. The meeting also stressed the importance of speeding up the establishment of the Gulf Economic Judicial Authority.

The participants expressed their willingness and great welcome to cooperate with the Gulf private sector, for coordination and joint integration between the GCC countries in all economic fields in particular, in an effort to establish the desired economic unity.
