A meeting will be held on Wednesday with the participation of several government agencies to discuss preparations for the upcoming rainy season expected this month, Al-Rai daily said quoting Government sources.
Representatives from the ministries of public works, electricity, water, civil defense, the Roads Authority and the Meteorological Department will come together for the meeting to discuss all preparations and develop a joint plan.
According to sources, it is assumed that each agency has a plan that will be reviewed for coordination between the concerned authorities. The Ministry of Electricity will discuss with the General Roads Authority regarding temporary road diversions that will likely cause water pools that threaten the safety of the transfer stations of the Ministry of Electricity and Water, due to a lack of proper water drainage in these areas.
