The Embassy of Japan in Kuwait announced grants from the Japanese government for those wishing to study in Japanese universities as bachelor and research students (Masters and PhD).
The embassy has identified some conditions that Kuwaiti students must meet to apply for scholarships. For undergraduate students, the student must have completed 12 academic years and have sufficient academic background, in addition to the requirement that the date of birth be on or after April 2, 1998, and the duration of study is 5 years, starting from April 2023 until March 2028 in the fields of natural sciences, social sciences and humanities, including one year for studying the Japanese language, reports a local Arabic daily.
As for research students, it is required that the applicant must have completed 16 academic years and born on or after April 2, 1988, and the years of study start from April or September 2023 until March 2025, and that the fields of study are similar to or related to the specialization of his studies at the university.

The embassy stated that the last day to apply will be Thursday, June 30, 2022, and the application will be delivered by hand to the embassy. The application process for the grant includes examining papers, a written exam and a personal interview.

It is noteworthy that the scholarship program offered by the Japanese government was established in 1954 in order to increase mutual understanding between the people of Japan and other countries, in addition to making an international contribution in the intellectual field.
