The Maidan Hawalli police department reported that an Iranian woman’s rented car deliberately collided with her ex-husband’s vehicle outside of his home and then threw insults at him. The woman who was confronted by the police, confessed to the assault and destruction of property, claiming she did it to declare her freedom from her Iranian ex-husband. Several bystanders witnessed the incident.
The accused voluntarily surrendered to authorities and admitted to the offense, after justifying her actions brought about by marital disputes resulting to divorce. The woman also claimed that her ex-husband refused to provide financial support for her and her children. The plaintiff submitted a complaint on the damaged car, while the rental company refused to pick up the shattered vehicle.
