Indian Public School organized a free health campaign for the students from 21-22 November, in the wake of International Children’s Day.

A team of doctors and technicians from Badr Al Samaa Medical Centre Farwaniya conducted the campaign as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility which included dental checkup, eye checkup and BMI for the students of Primary classes.

During which many students were diagnosed with vision related issues and difficulty in coordination.

Followed by a seminar cum interactive session conducted for the students of the Senior Secondary Wing on Health, Diet and a Healthy Lifestyle. The aim of the seminar was to raise awareness among teenagers to improve their diets and to increase physical activity levels and thereby adopt a Healthy Lifestyle.

The session enlightened the students on the need to have the right nutrients through the right dietary intake. The students were also advised on the risks involved in consuming junk food.

Issues like obesity, bulimia, anorexia, anemia etc. and their symptoms were explained in detail.
