Today we celebrate International Women’s Day. Although international attention to gender issues has increased in recent years, recent developments and new global issues make it necessary to pursue resolute action in favor of the achievement of equality between women. and men’s and women’s rights in all regions of the world.

Even today, women and girls are more affected by poverty, conflict and climate change. They face difficulties and discrimination in all areas and in all countries.

This day, March 8, is an opportunity to renew the call to give girls equal access to education, to allow women to freely dispose of their bodies, to put an end to violence, and to guarantee the equal economic and social opportunity and decision-making, so that we can build a more just society and a sustainable future.

On this occasion, I would like to salute all the pioneering women who, through their achievements, have proven their effective role in the development process of their country and in particular the Kuwaiti women who have proven their active role and positions in various fields: culture, politics , economy, justice and others.

Together, we are building Generation Equality.
