Director General of Kuwait’s Anti-Doping Agency, Hana Al-Buti said intensive efforts are being put forth for the upcoming Third GCC Games, scheduled to launch Monday.

Specialized teams will gather samples from athletes under stringent WADA regulations and laboratories are ready for work in coordination with Anti-Doping Lab Qatar, noted Al-Buti in a press release Sunday. Some 21 inspection teams; five of which for women, will run the tests at 13 stations throughout the Games’ venues, she pointed out.

Al-Buti also valued the role of the Games’ Organizing Committee, headed by Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Rajhi and Chairman of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, for providing all means necessary to champion the Games.- KUNA
