Director-General of the Civil Aviation, Yousef Al-Fawzan confirmed that there is nothing to prevent the travel of Kuwaiti citizens over the age of 75 years, Al Rai reported

Al-Fawzan said in a press statement that travel requirements stipulate that all traveling citizens must obtain health insurance with coverage of the Coronavirus for traveling abroad.

Responsible sources told the daily that local insurance companies have not stopped issuing travel insurance for individuals over 75 years old, noting that more than one company has already issued documents for this age group and older, especially with the return of the momentum of citizens traveling abroad.

The upper limit for the age of customers varies from one insurance company to another, according to the conditions set by the reinsurer for coverage,” explaining that “some local companies do not issue a travel insurance policy for those over 65 years old, and there are those who issue up to 70 and 75, noting that “On the other hand, there are companies that give out travel insurance policies without specifying an age limit.

The travel insurance policy is not new, and it was in force locally, even before the spread of the Corona pandemic, and in Kuwait, there are about 39 insurance companies, whether local or branches of foreign companies.
