The Non-commissioned Officers and Personnel Training Institute of the Military Education Authority received today, 600 applicants for the non-commissioned officers and personnel courses.

This comes within the framework of the Army General Staff continuing to implement the directives of the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled to make way for Kuwaiti youth to join the armed forces and to provide all forms of support and encouragement to serve their country, reports Al-Rai daily.

It should be noted that last March, the General Staff of the Army had accepted 277 applicants who passed the tests and medical examinations, followed by 400 in April. The ceiling for the number of those accepted in the current batch has been raised from 350 to 600 in order to speed up the pace of admission and enrollment.

The registration door will continue to be open throughout the year and not be restricted to specific periods. Applicants for these courses will also be approved as soon as they fulfill the conditions and pass the prescribed medical tests and examinations.
