A survey by the Central Department of Statistics on the relative distribution of employment shows that residents of both Indian and Egyptian nationalities make about half of the labor market in Kuwait, while citizens come in third place.

Based on the top 10 nationalities in Kuwait till September 30, 2022, the number of workers in the labor market, both in the government and private sectors amounts to 1,977,019 which includes 476,335 Indians i.e., 24.1%, followed by Egyptians, with a total of 467,074 i.e., 23.6 %Kuwait Citizens came in third place, with a total of 438,803 i.e., 22.2 %.

While the figures show that the percentage of Indians and Egyptians in the workforce, in the public and private sectors amounts to 47.7 %, the next 7 nationalities share about 22 % of the employment market in Kuwait and other nationalities at 134,588 workers or 6.8 %

Further, according to the data, the total number of working males, citizens and residents, add up to 1,543,584 employees compared to 1,543,584 female employees. However, female employee numbers outperform men among citizens working in the two sectors (253,850 females and 184,953 males).

4- Bangladesh: 158,911

5- Pakistan ranks fifth: 68,755

6- The Philippines ranks sixth: 65,260

7- Syria ranks seventh: 63,680

8 – Nepal ranks eighth: 56,489

9 – Jordan ranks ninth: 26,856

10- Lebanon ranks tenth: 20,271
