A first-information-report filed by the police notes that an Indian committed suicide in his flat in Salmiya on Monday by stabbing himself to death.
According to the report, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the incident, security personnel and paramedics were rushed to the scene, where they found the Indian lying in a pool of blood from knife injuries.
Suspecting the cause of death to be self-inflicted, the authorities have moved the corpse to the forensics department for further examination and confirmation of the cause of death. to the Security authorities have also begun investigations to ascertain the circumstances that led to the apparent suicide.
In another incident, a young Kuwaiti who drowned in the swimming pool of a farmhouse in Kabad area has also been referred to the forensics department. As soon as the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received report of the incident, police and paramedics rushed to the scene but could not save the man’s life. The concerned authorities are reported to be investigating the circumstances that led to the drowning.
